Past the sky: the photos of deep space and yet beyond to the farthest depths
One of the most beautiful things to me is waking up before anyone else to a completely quiet house, and being able to see the sunrise in the morning stillness. It's like nature let you in on a secret just for a brief moment.
Beauty is elegance. Simplicity born of chaos. We understand what it is that we find beautiful about things, objects, ideas, sights, and it is our understanding of these things through which we define the beautiful. To me this is the crux of the matter; when something initially complex is examined, and is revealed to be defined by nothing more than a stricture or two, that is beautiful. When something seems hopelessly beyond comprehension, the moment of comprehension is all the more wonderful for it. Understanding is beauty. Knowing something for what it is at it's simplest.
Beauty is color, nature, being loved by someone.
Some of the most beautiful images I can think of involve unexpected elements "fitting together" perfectly. Sometimes the combination is intentional and sometimes it just happens randomly. There's a special grace and beauty when very different people come together and enjoy each other's company: old and young, able and disabled, people of different ethnic backgrounds, etc. We catch a glimpse of "how things were meant to be" and it's beautiful!

Beauty is confidence, honesty and integrity.  Displaying these things through your body and how you choose to carry it constitute a type of beauty for me. Having the confidence and honesty to show yourself as you are and as you feel most comfortable certainly is part of beauty.
The color of the sky (often grays)...
Beauty is what is in the space between. The space between the trees, between the branches. The space between shadows and light on a pathway. The space between your in breath and your out breath. It's not what we see but what we don't see.
I was travelling with someone who remarked on the beauty of an industrial area, replete with a hodgepodge of cement buildings and old machinery.

At first, I thought he was joking, but after he explained how important that kind of landscape had been to his career, and how useful that kind of landscape was to making our city work, I had to look at the so-called "ugly" machine shop differently
Touch captures the essence of beauty for me. A piece of sculpture or art that makes me want to touch it is beautiful to me. The textures and the way light dances with an object calls me to experience it with a sense of awe for its exquisiteness defines beauty for me. . Beauty is in the ordinary or the familiar such as the sense of falling into fresh sheets after a demanding day.
To look in a child's clear eyes, and she looking back into yours, effervescent light deep in those child eyes, being in this one moment, and knowing that life is now - as we breathe, as we sense, as we feel this moment of exquisite connection - this is beauty.
Forest I can walk through (closed canopy, but able to easily walk through)
Beauty is that which causes you to pause and appreciate.  It is anything that is unique to a time and place.  It may be unique due to symmetry, vibrant hue, pure tone; however asymmetry, discord, monochrome can also possess beauty.  Beauty removes one from the Everyday and provides an opportunity to stop, reflect, admire, appreciate, enjoy – before returning to Everyday, again.
I would define it as a type of stimulation in the form of a concept, idea, or sense (audio, visual, taste, or touch) which is experienced as the highest or most profound ideal of that particular sense or idea or concept (such as poetry or logic) to the perceiver.
Beauty to me is… driving out to the middle of nowhere, watching the sky and trees. Just being.
